Our mission is to create places that improve the urban environment.
Rather than viewing new projects as buildings, we begin with a place. Places are where you meet new friends, discover new food, explore art, or where people call home. The comfort we feel at home comes from the familiar smells of food, traditions, and customs passed down by older generations or created by our own. These intangible components of heritage are embedded in the DNA of the urban environment. Understanding the role heritage has in a place leads to new ways to think about how new projects can benefit by engaging with the community.
A building doesn't create a place. A place comes from where buildings engage with the urban environment.
